1. Are you an Essential Worker?

Unfortunately, yes. I tend to disagree with the determination, but the state agency I work for was deemed essential (and I. . . kind of agree with that determination) and below the agency level it was left in management's hands. My particular division is not public-facing, but it took a long time for them to figure out how to let us telework -- in fact, I did not get approved to telework until there was a confirmed case among my coworkers.

1a. Are you in a vulnerable category?

No, thankfully.

2. How many drinks have you had since the quarantine started?

My normal, which is to say, one or two drinks in the evening when the mood strikes me, which I think has been. . . twice? thrice? since this all started. Unfortunately, I've been in a wine mood, and have no wine; if I had a couple bottles stockpiled they would be drunk by now.

3. If you have kids. . . are they driving you nuts?

No kids!

4. What new hobby have you taken up during this?

None. Still working 40 hours a week, and just spending more time cooking. I'm finally getting good at using my espresso machine, without access to my usual morning coffee place!

5. How many grocery runs have you done?

Well, since I've only been teleworking a week, I wasn't terribly invested in not going out for most of this time period. I had cut back to once a week (versus my usual 2-3 times/week) while I was still going in to work. Now that I can actually stay home and have been confirmed to be exposed, I did one fully-masked run at 6 am keeping a good distance from any other shopper about week ago and haven't been since; I got enough that I have no plans to go for at least another week.

6. What are you spending your stimulus check on?

No concrete plans. I will probably go out to eat a few more times than normal at my favorite local places, when they open back up; beyond that, most will go into savings. I'm still building back up from my recent move.

7. Do you have any special occasions that you will miss during this quarantine?

Depending on how long it lasts, it may impact my birthday, but I didn't have any specific plans to celebrate, so all I'll likely miss out on is a dinner with friends.

It's not exactly a "special occasion," but I was scheduled for a surgery that got cancelled because of the quarantine -- that's going to be a pain, and adds a little background stress to my life. (It's a non-urgent surgery, but it's something that could turn urgent overnight and I was looking forward to the problem being GONE and now it's NOT GONE.)

8. Are you keeping your housework done? Ish?

More than usual, now that I'm teleworking! I need something to do when I'm staring at my computer screen blankly...

9. What movie have you watched during this quarantine?

Speed! It's been years since I've seen it, and it was still so much ridiculous fun. This time I actually looked it up on Wikipedia, and apparently Joss Whedon is behind much of the dialogue? A thing I didn't know, but as soon as I read it I went, yes, it *does* sound like him. . .

10. What are you streaming with?

I'm not. I have no streaming service! I still have a cable box! Strange, I know. . .

11. 9 months from now is there any chance of you having a baby?

Ahahahahaha. . . nope.

12. What's your go-to quarantine meal?

I don't think I have one? I've been eating pretty similar to what I always do. My job currently involves a lot of travel, and before this it involved pretty long hours, so I generally am a pantry-staple-and-convenience-food sort of cook. I guess the meal I've had most often is toast + latte for breakfast, but that's not very different from non-quarantine breakfast, which would have been pastry + latte from a coffeeshop.

13. Is this whole situation making you paranoid?

No. I don't generally tend towards paranoia; I sometimes tend toward anxiety, but whether it's because my life has changed less than most people or because I think my doctor found a medication that's working for me (or both; it's likely both) I haven't been struggling with that so far.

14. Has your internet gone out on you during this time?

Not saying a word here. No jinxing it!

15. What month do you predict this all ends?

That's the $64,000 question, isn't it? It depends entirely on how we continue to act, after all, and how our government chooses to act. I can't imagine things being completely back to normal until we get a vaccine though, which is still many many months out.

16. First thing you're gonna do when you get off quarantine?

Eat in a restaurant. I miss eating out at restaurants!

17. Where do you wish you were right now?

I'm good with where I'm at.

18. What free-from-quarantine activity are you missing the most?

I miss being able to do my usual job! I'm a trainer, and I miss being in front of my classes!

19. Have you run out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer?

I'm not a hand sanitizer person. I would have used the sanitizer wipes while I was still travelling back at the beginning of this, but they were gone the instant I thought about them, and have not returned since. (And all my travel got cancelled, so no more need.)

I am down to two rolls of toilet paper. They're mega rolls, and I live alone, so that once would have been a two-week supply; but now that I'm home all day it's significantly less. I'm hoping to hold out until mid-week, when my fourteen days since probable exposure will be up, and then I'll start hitting stores at opening until I find some more.

19a. Have you run out of anything else?

Getting perilously low on hair conditioner; tried to order some, but it got cancelled. Will be looking for that when I make my TP run.

20. Do you have enough food to last a month?

Maaaaaaybe. . . I mean, if I literally got locked in my house I think so? But it would have to be the apocalypse. Under current conditions, I probably have another week and a half that I could happily eat out of my fridge/freezer/pantry, and then I'll head out to restock fresh stuff. It's the milk that is the limiting factor for me -- I drink a lot of it, and in my area all the stores are still limiting purchases to one or two containers per shopper, so I wasn't able to stock up on it like I was on other things.

21. Has anything major happened in your life during the lockdown?

Not particularly? My work is exploring webinars, which would definitely be a change if implemented, but they may never end up going anywhere. Beyond that, just the surgery cancellation, I guess.

22. What are you grateful for?

That none of my family is in a very vulnerable population -- age is the only vulnerability, for my parents and grandfather, no serious underlying health conditions -- and they are all able to safely stay home aside from periodic grocery store trips that they are taking proper precautions during.

23. Is there anything you'll miss about lockdown life?

The emptiness of the roads when I was still going in to work, and the resultant better air quality.
